As is common practice for all rail lines being constructed, a Project Information Centre (PIC) has been established for the East Coast section of the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL). The PIC also covers Xilin station's construction on the Downtown Line (DTL) extension and the Tanah Merah Modification on the East West Line.

Located in the heart of Marine Parade, the PIC houses information for both stage 4 and stage 5 of the TEL in one location as opposed to previous PICs which separated displays and information across various locations. It is easily accessible by various bus routes that ply along Marine Parade Road.

Location of the PIC. |
Similar to the
PIC for the Circle Line stage 6 project, this TEL PIC is open to the public for walk-in without prior appointments necessary. The PIC is open twice a day - in the mornings from 9am up to 12pm and in the afternoons from 1pm to 5pm. Do note that it is closed on weekends and public holidays.
The PIC itself houses information panels for each of the stations under the project, excluding the recently announced Founders' Memorial station, as well as the 4-in-1 East Coast depot. Miniature models of each station are also available in addition to a model tunnel boring machine (TBM) from the T308 project being on display.

In addition to the information panels and scale models, several leaflets are available for reference as well. The staff also provided us with a copy of the newsletter issued September 2017. According to the cover page, an electronic copy is available online - however checks show that the link is no longer working as it should be. Instead, we have scanned a soft copy for your reference and reading pleasure below. At this point, we are unable to ascertain as to whether further issues have been produced. Nonetheless, do feel free to drop by the TEL PIC at Marine Parade to learn more about the construction challenges faced by the contractors as they work to bring the East Coast Line to you.
