T312 - Sungei Bedok update

site looking eastwards.

Sungei Bedok will become the eastern terminus of both the Downtown and Thomson-East Coast Lines (DTL & TEL) come 2025. According to images released by the Land Transport Authority, the longer trains of the TEL will use the upper platform level while the shorter trains of the DTL will use the lower platforms in the integrated station.

14 September 2022 - The roof slab of the station can be
seen prior to back filling of the soil.

The station structure appears completed with the roof slab at the western end of the station cast. Decking over the excavated area is progressively being removed, assumed to be ahead of the next stage of back filling of the excavated soil atop the station. Once the soil has been placed back, utility lines can be laid and eventually the road reinstated as well.

19 August 2022 - The exit as seen from across the road.

Currently of the two exits with convenient road access, one can be clearly seen with a structure above ground level. This exit sits outside SAF's Bedok Camp 2. The other exit across the road, outside Bedok food centre does not currently have any structure visible above ground level. Potentially the road diversion could be sitting directly on top of the location of the exit structure.

There is still some way to go before the station takes shape in a manner that is visible and can be placed easily. We look forward to the following year where this progress is likely to be evident.
