We're just under a month away from the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL)'s phase 4 preview which will be taking place at the 7 stations on 21 June 2024. In conjunction with this momentous event of the preview and subsequent opening of the line on 23 June, we're holding a contest where users re-create the renders by submitting photographs of re-creations of the renders.
This year, there will be 3 categories through which participants can win:
- Most-liked entry (3 winners)
- SgMC's Choice (1 winner)
- SG Rail Enthusiasts' Choice (1 winner)
However, do note that you'll only be able to win once in a single category (i.e. You're not able to win once in each category - also known as winning all three categories).
Participating is simple - what you'll need to do is merely re-create one of the chosen renders with an actual photograph of the final, built structure. The renders range from perspective views of the station exits, to views of the station concourses or platform areas. Try out several angles to get the perfect shot! DM us your submission, stating the render that you're re-creating. We'll do the rest for you - putting the render and photo side by side for comparison. The final comparisons will be posted on our IG and FB pages for public voting.
When is all this happening, you may ask. When do you have to submit your entries by? Submissions begin on the day of the TEL4 preview - 21 June 2024. We understand that not everyone may be able to make it for the preview, so fret not. Ensure that your submission reaches us by 30th June 2024, 2359h and we'll have you entered into the contest. Send us a DM with your submissions on our IG or FB.
Voting commences on 1 July 2024 and closes on 14 July 2024, by 2359h as well. Do your best to get your friends to like your pictures on IG & FB - we'll be counting likes on both platforms for your final score. Separately, SGMC & the panel of SG Rail Enthusiasts will be choosing their top picks for their respective categories as well.
Do take note of the above rules for the contest, in addition to the fact that you'll only be able to win in one of the categories (this results in more winners, so don't worry!). With that said, these are the renders that you can re-create.

The above 12 renders are the ones shortlisted for re-creation during the contest. We're releasing them early for you to plan your routes and analyse the angles, views and perspectives so that you can get the winning shots during the preview and subsequently once the line has opened.
