Several SI rigs were noted near Upper East Coast bus terminal towards Temasek Secondary school. This is along the inferred route of the ERL from Bayshore towards Bedok Corner.

Where there is a concentration of boreholes this is where the stations will be.
ReplyDeleteHi, usually soil investigations are conducted along the length of the route to test the soil conditions and allow engineers a better understanding of the construction techniques to be utilised. A concentration of boreholes may indicate a probable location of a station - this is not definite though. There may be other facilities that require extensive soil investigation - such as cut-and-cover sections for cross-overs or cripple sidings. Hope that answers your query.
