T303 - Tanjong Rhu update February 2024

As previously mentioned, we're starting our Q1 coverage of the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) phase 4's stations a little earlier than normal so that we can cover the stations ahead of their opening by the first half of 2024. Tanjong Rhu station has seen the station site tidied up and is about ready for opening day with station signage installed.

The station features 2 exits, with the northern exit facing the Singapore Indoor Stadium being Exit 2 and the southern exit being Exit 1. Both exits are complete, with the LED arrival display boards operational and station signage now boldly stating the station's name.

The station was one of the 7 handed over to operator SMRT earlier this month, ahead of operator training & familiarisation to open this phase of the line by mid-year. Works at the street level are largely complete, including the reinstatement of Tanjong Rhu Road which had to be diverted during the course of construction. All that remains is for the water barriers to be removed from the bus stop shelters and for them to be commissioned.
