With the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL)'s phase 4 now open, the focus of the blog will shift to cover the remaining 2 stations along the line's phase 5 at Bedok South & Sungei Bedok. Over the past quarter, works have continued in the vicinity of the Bedok South station. These focus on the architectural elements of the station's exits and supporting infrastructure such as roads and commuter facilities.
Exit 1 - Green
Cladding works have continued at the exit over the quarter. At the end of Q2, there were still several missing panels here and there to be completed. Covered linkway works were also in progress along the pedestrian pathway in front of the condos along Upper East Coast Road. Drainage works were also underway around the exit to carry away rain water.

Exit 2 - Purple
The exit decked out in purple was one of the earliest to have its basic structure completed. However once cladding works commenced, other exits around soon caught up as well. Progress here appears to be a little slower in comparison to other exits, with little changes noted over Q2.

A striking bright blue identifies this exit. Road construction work continued next to the exit as part of the new road network for Bayshore town.

Exit 4 - Red
This striking exit colour scheme certainly draws attention to the exit located right outside Temasek Secondary School. Works were ongoing ahead of the road reinstatement here, expected to be carried out some time in July. Cladding work has caught up significantly for this exit to the extent that its progress is on par with other exits at the station.

Exit 5 - Yellow/Orange
Works at the citrus colour themed exit seemed to be slow-going compared to when cladding works first began. There does not appear to be much apparent difference over the course of the quarter.

Ancillary building 1
The first of 2 ancillary buildings for the station is located along Upper East Coast Road. Cladding works were in progress but with little apparent progress over Q2. There is definitely some way to go still for the cladding to be completed.

The second ancillary building for the station is located near the rear of Temasek Secondary School. Cladding works were underway through Q2. Apart from that, it is harder to see what other works were being carried out at the facility building.

Commuter facilities
Various commuter facilities were in progress of being constructed. An early view seems to show that the design of the shelters will avoid similar design choices as the Marine Parade station bus stop which was recently in the news for obscuring the view of the numbers of the buses arriving at the stops.
