T307 - MRT at Marine Parade

An aerial view along Marine Parade Road, showing 2 of the 6 exits for the station.

On National Day, we conducted a virtual tour on the SG MRT Construction (SgMC) Instagram channel. During the tour, we covered several stations along the Thomson-East Coast Line and we'll be featuring some additional shots that we may not have showcased on the Instagram channel during the tour.

This is the western-most exit of the station. The underground bicycle park will be located near this
exit in particular and according to information previously released, it appears that this is the
designated exit through which bicycles should be brought into the station. Escalators have been
installed at this exit.

The second exit along Marine Parade Road. However no escalators have
been installed yet.

This exit is located near the Parkway Centre. The stairway down is
visible as is the lift shaft.

The construction site for the linkway leading to the Parkway Centre exit.

One of the numerous surface structures visible at the site. This may be for an ancillary building.

Another exit along the northern side of Marine Parade Road. This area
is likely to be the cut-and-cover section above the cripple siding. A stretch
of shops is proposed to be built in this sector, offering more convenience
to commuters as they proceed to their respective exits.

Likely more ancillary buildings along the same stretch.

The sixth surface exit and the eastern-most along Marine Parade Road. A seventh exit will connect
to the Marine Parade CC.

Works are progressing at Marine Parade station with at least 1 exit having escalators installed. These are easy to spot as they need to be protected from the elements, especially of late with an increase in rain storms. Typically some tarpaulin is used or a temporary roof structure is built over the top of the escalators to shield them. Other exits are at less advanced stages of construction with escalators not yet being installed.

The site is a long one, in particular due to the adjacent cripple siding. Built as a cut-and-cover extension from the station, the concourse level will link to a shopping arcade allowing commuters to browse and purchase items on their way in or out of the station.
