Continuing our Q2 update heading east on the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL), our next stop is Tanjong Katong, formerly known as Amber. Another stacked platform station to fit into the tight station site at Tanjong Katong Road South, the station amazingly features 3 exits. That's more than some of the stations on the Circle or Downtown Lines. Works are at a pretty advanced stage with most of the lighting and station fittings in place. We were not able to observe any signage boards however.

and secondary station exit outside Aalto condominium can be seen.

Day view
Photos provided by Seloloving during the day show that the station exits have been clad with a brownish granite finish. The accent is once again black stone cladding, similar to Katong Park station. Work is ongoing to complete the roofing of the commuter infrastructure, such as the covered linkways and pick-up/drop-off shelter.

Evening view
A visit to the station in the evening shows the station lighting being used to illuminate the various station exits. Also visible were the LED indicators for the elevators within the station exits, indicating that they had been successfully installed and commissioned. With the station lighting being used, some of the other details of the station exits became more visible as well - such as the handrails lining the steps into the station.

With contract T3207 being called recently for the manufacture & installation of platform seating, it can be anticipated that we are entering the final stages of construction ahead of testing & commissioning for the fourth phase of the TEL.
