Contract Awards - Marine Parade

On Friday, the Land Transport Authority announced the first award for contracts to build stations along the East Coast stretch of the Thomson-East Coast Line. Contract T307 was awarded to Samsung C&T and will be completed by 2023 as the first section of the East Coast section goes live.

T308 - Marine Terrace & T303 - Tanjong Rhu

Last Friday the Land Transport Authority (LTA) released the tender for Marine Terrace station - T308. This tender calls for the construction of Marine Terrace station, associated entrance structures and twin bored tunnels to Siglap station. Part of the station will feature a cut-and-cover subway to two entrances as well as the main line tunnels below.

Contract Awards

List of contracts awarded to date
For the East Coast Line, LTA has awarded several tenders ahead of the main construction of the line. The table above summarizes the contracts that have been floated for tender as well as those awarded. Several contracts are currently under tender, such as the contract for T307 - Construction of Marine Parade station & associated tunnels. We will continue updating the table progressively as more tenders are floated and awarded.

T307 - Marine Parade

Today the Land Transport Authority opened the tender for Marine Parade station - Contract T307. The contract is for the construction of Marine Parade station, cut & cover linkway and tunnels towards Marine Terrace station and bored tunnels on both ends of the station. As of now, the tender closes 22nd June.

Line alignment and structure

Recently, we came across some information and would like to present to you a graphic representation of the East Coast Line's alignment. Also provided is information that shows how the line will be built.

of stacked tunnel configurations. In addition, there are 2 temporary staging areas (TSA) that will be used for trackworks.

Also listed below is the full number of contracts and the expected TBM drives from the shaft at Gardens by the Bay East, under the Thomson Line section, to Sungei Bedok station.

Tender schedule

The Thomson-East Coast Line was announced last August by Minister for Transport Lui Tuck Yew. In keeping to the timeline for construction to commence in 2016, tenders are expected to be floated this year and placed up for bids. The pre-qualification for bidding of the contracts was floated late last year. Here is a list of the expected release of the respective contract tenders:
