T308 - Marine Terrace update Q3 2023

3 September 2023

The Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) Phase 4 is slowly inching towards completion and so is Marine Terrace station. Over Q3, the site has slowly been tidying up as works shift towards getting the station completed and readied for handover to the client - the Land Transport Authority (LTA). LTA will subsequently handover the station to the eventual line operator before the station is ultimately opened.

2 June 2023 - A recap on the layout of the station's exits. The numbering starts with the main
exit located in the heart of Marine Terrace estate and makes a clockwise rotation.

Exit 1
Over the course of the past quarter, finishing touches have been made to the exit. For instance, roofing works were completed and allowed for the installation of solar panels on the exit which will help to allow renewable energy to be produced.

park. Exit 1 can be seen behind with some structures bare, without cladding.

Exit 2
This exit is one of two that will be connected to the main station box via a subway. As such, the exit is more compact than some of the others connected to the main station box. Nonetheless, over the past quarter the exit has been making steady progress. The construction netting has been brought down, allowing for the installation of glass at the station's side.

With roofing works completed, the exit has seen solar panels installed above. Construction netting previously wrapping around the exit's side has been removed as well and the stretch of road outside progressively restored.

Located just opposite the centre of Marine Terrace estate and Exit 1, the exit will connect commuters with a bus stop along eastbound Marine Parade Road. The exit has made significant progress over the past quarter, although there is a fair amount of work remaining to be done till it is completed.

Exit 5
This exit is located just behind St. Patrick's school and like Exit 4, is sandwiched on the road side table between Marine Parade Road and the school. However, unlike Exit 4, there is more space here for the station exit and it thus is wider when compared to Exit 4. Work here has progressed over the past quarter with cladding works mostly completed. The construction netting that was previously wrapped around part of the exit has been removed as of the end of Q3.
