23 September 2023 - A view of the finishings at Exit C of Siglap station. |
Over the past quarter, the finishing touches have been added to Siglap station on the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL)'s phase 4 section. Early in the quarter, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) & Minister of Transport then, S Iswaran, released a few images of the TEL4 stations. Two of these images showed the interior of Siglap station which features a grey and blue colour scheme. There are also accents of sky blue which likely reflects the area's heritage as a seaside estate.

Exit A
This exit in particular, has come a long way, being the least completed exit of the 4 at the station. It now stands mostly completed as at the end of Q3 2023 with only a few touches to be added such as the station name sign and public transport symbol caplet. These may come in later on closer to the station's handover to prevent confusion from members of the public who may think that the station is open if such signage were fitted in immediately.

Exit B
This exit is located at the other end of the station from Exit A, near Nallur Road. Due to its small size just like Exit D, this exit was one of the first to be completed for the station. Similar to Exit A, most of the works centre around finishing touches such as the installation of the station name signage and public transport symbol caplet.

Exit C
This exit is located along the westbound carriageway of Marine Parade Road, just outside Laguna Park. Being the largest of the 4 exits for the station, it is likely that this will be regarded as the station's main exit. Work has largely been completed and the finer details are being focused on. Commuter facilities and infrastructure is being installed, such as benches for the pick-up/drop-off waiting area.

Exit D
The last and final exit of the station is a narrow structure located along Siglap Link and next to the canal. Being the smallest of all the exits, it was the first exit to be substantially completed. Work here has been pretty much completed with only the official signage to go in.

Commuter facilities infrastructure
The last component that has been progressing within the past quarter is the commuter facilities infrastructure. This refers to the covered linkways that will connect to the stations' 4 exits as well as the other infrastructure such as rebuilt bus stops and pedestrian benches at the pick-up/drop-off points.
