An overview of TEL4 & 5 stations TE23 to TE31 in October 2023.

In addition to our quarterly updates of the various stations along this section of the line, we have a condensed update based on the months called the Snapshot feature. Drawing inspiration from last year's TEL3@Night, here's the October snapshot for the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) phase 4 & 5 stations.
Phase 4 stations
All stations now have the LED train arrival indicators present at the station exits. Some exceptions would be the three exits at Marine Parade that connect to the commercial subway as these are at less advanced stages of construction than the other exits that connect directly to the main station box.
TE23 - Tanjong Rhu (Contract T303)
In a nutshell: The station exits and structure are mostly complete. Some sections of cladding need to be finished off but pretty much everything is in place. Commuter facilities still require finishing work as well.

TE24 - Katong Park (Contract T305)
In a nutshell: This station is pretty much complete and ready for handover to the client (Land Transport Authority - LTA). Just some tidying up needs to take place.

TE25 - Tanjong Katong (Contract T306)
In a nutshell: The station is ready for the Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) to be issued as the station exits have been cleared of scaffolding.

TE26 - Marine Parade (Contract T307)
In a nutshell: Finishing touches are underway for the exits connecting to the station box. However the other 3 exits connecting to the commercial subway are not as complete with no interior lights illuminating them at night.

TE27 - Marine Terrace (Contract T308)
In a nutshell: All station exits were illuminated in the interior and the LED train arrival boards were visible.

TE28 - Siglap (Contract T309)
In a nutshell: Only landscaping works need to be done, otherwise the station is ready for handover to the client.

TE29 - Bayshore (Contract T310)
In a nutshell: Sheltered linkway work is underway. Apart from that, the station is substantially completed and ready for handover.

Phase 5 stations
The remaining 2 stations under phase 5 of the line, and the final phase for a while until the TEL Extension (TELe) is announced, are at a slower pace of progress than their phase 4 counter parts. The stations are not illuminated at night and will be completed roughly a year later than the phase 4 stations.
TE30 - Bedok South (Contract T311)
In a nutshell: Station exits are under construction along Upper East Coast Road. The metal roof structures have been put into place and roofing works are being carried out.

TE31 - Sungei Bedok (Contract T312)
In a nutshell: The two exits near Bedok Camp and Bedok Food Centre are slowly taking shape. Roofing works are ongoing for both exits.

With early closures beginning in order to bring line testing to the next stage, the opening of TEL4 is around the corner. The TEL5 stations are not too far behind in progress either and they should be well on their way to completion around the end of next year, ahead of the phase's targeted 2025 opening.
