Tanjong Rhu station is the first of several civil defence shelters located along the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) phase 4. The station will have 2 exits located in the heart of the Tanjong Rhu enclave. An interesting fact about the station is that the 2 side platforms do not exactly align with each other, hence there is a portion that protrudes out on either side so to speak. Construction works are coming along with cladding for the station exits and ventilation shaft yet to be begin.

Recently, the team paid a visit to the Project Information Centre (PIC) for TEL phases 4 & 5. Here are some images of the displays that can be found at the PIC. Pre-pandemic, the PIC used to operate on weekdays during office hours. However, now you will need to make a booking before proceeding down to the PIC for a visit.

Works at the station are progressing well with road reinstatement works underway as well. In the coming year, one should be able to expect cladding and architectural finishes to start being installed.
