T306 - 2022 Year end update

25 November 2022 - A view of Exit B, with the metal frame for the roofing taking shape.

21 November 2022 - A view of Exits A & C along Meyer Road.

Continuing our trek eastwards, our next stop is Tanjong Katong station. Due to site constraints, it is another side stacked station to fit within a very tight site. Some homes were also acquired previously to facilitate the construction of the station directly beneath the homes. Work is taking shape with metal supports reminiscent of the V, featured prominently along the Circle Line stages 4 and 5, clearly visible at the station's exits along Tanjong Katong Road South & Meyer Road.

21 November 2022 - The road will have to be permanently diverted from its original location
once the station is completed, likely with a gentle curve.

21 November 2022 - A wide angle view of the station's exits.

There is no cladding visible yet at any of the station exits and neither were we able to turn up any pictures of the station interior despite best efforts to search. We are unable to make out the portals for any skylights either but will come back the following year to check in and see if there are any visible areas where these features are likely to be located.

south.

An overview of the station concourse level. Access to both platform
levels will be available at one escalator bank whilst the other will
feature a single escalator. Lift access will be towards one end with
the stairs located at the opposing end of the station.

A cross-section view of the station's concourse and platform levels. There will be escalator transfers
between both upper and lower platform levels at this station, unlike some of those along TEL3.

The station's 3D architectural model is available for viewing at the Project Information Centre (PIC) for the line near Marine Terrace station site. From the model, one can view the structure of the station as well as understand its layout in relation to the roads and landmarks in the area.

We look forward to viewing the progress of the station in the following year as it inches towards completion!
